Boxx wanted to create a boxing bag tailoured for home workouts to go alongside their workout tracking punch pods and app. With considerations for convenience and context, the resulting design blends seamlessly into the home and easy to maneuver and safely store when not in use.
Launching on Kickstarter in 2021 the project raised over £200,000 and is now available for purchase.

The bag features a patent pending mechanism that enables it to be easily switched from storage to fight mode. When in fight mode, the dampening is activated which allows the bag to absorb the impact of a heavy workout without toppling over or moving around. When in storage mode, the dampening is locked and the bag can be tipped onto it's wheels and easily maneuvered into a convenient place whilst not in use.
I was heavily involved in this project after the initial concept phases, detailing the design for manufacture and refining the function of the mechanisms throughout pre-production sampling.
