Hope technical came to IDC for support reducing the complexity and cost of their parking sensor holder by re-thinking the design from the ground up.
The optimised design replaced six parts and complex assembly processes, with a carefully engineered single component made from locally-sourced recycled polymer material. The new approach not only reduced the cost of manufacture and assembly of the product but also significantly reduced the carbon emissions over it's life by 40x.
I lead this project whilst at IDC from initial design reviews to final production ready design.
